Role Overview
The Installer position involves supporting the setup and removal of vending and market equipment across various locations.
Primary Responsibilities
- Prepare and execute equipment installations and removals for existing and new accounts.
- Apply foundational skills in carpentry, millwork assembly, electrical, plumbing, and IT systems relevant to equipment fitting.
- Collaborate with management and customers to determine optimal installation or removal strategies.
- Travel throughout the region to service different sites, driving company vehicles responsibly.
- Handle equipment movement between warehouse and client locations using appropriate tools.
- Maintain vehicle cleanliness and safety, perform daily vehicle inspections, address any issues, and secure keys and vehicles properly.
- Use mechanical tools and small hand instruments to facilitate equipment repair, installation, or removal tasks.
- Ensure a safe and tidy work environment, adhering strictly to safety protocols.
- Test and replenish machines to guarantee client satisfaction post-installation.
- Perform additional related duties as assigned.
Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving history and ability to satisfy Department of Transportation regulations.
- Proficient in reading and comprehending safety guidelines, operating manuals, and procedural documentation.
- Capable of writing routine reports and communicating effectively with both customers and colleagues.
- Basic mathematical skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and computing percentages, rates, and ratios.
- Problem-solving aptitude applicable to practical scenarios with limited standardization.
- Ability to interpret diverse instructions in written, verbal, diagrammatic, or schedule formats, including understanding simple CAD drawings with measurements.
- Strong mechanical skills and aptitude.
Working Conditions and Physical Requirements
- Frequent activities include standing, walking, stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling.
- Regularly required to lift or move objects weighing up to 25 pounds, occasionally up to 100 pounds, and push or pull up to 700 pounds with equipment assistance.
- Exposure to moving mechanical parts, electrical hazards, and varying weather conditions is common.
- Occasional exposure to challenging environments such as heights, airborne particles, toxic substances, extreme temperatures, radiation risks, and vibrations.
