Job Overview

This on-site role is based in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, with an important note that the work location is Makkah city in Saudi Arabia. The position focuses on installing delivered equipment and systems, as well as supporting maintenance activities for transportation security systems.

Job Objective

  • Set up and carry out installation work for the delivered equipment and systems.
  • Handle Level 1 preventive and corrective maintenance tasks, while assisting engineers with Level 2 and Level 3 preventive and corrective maintenance work.
  • Be prepared to work on weekends and public holidays when required.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Work with the team to support project rollout and ongoing maintenance activities.
  • Carry out site surveys and help with Site Readiness Review.
  • Make sure the assigned tasks match customer expectations and stay aligned with the installation schedule.
  • Participate in installation, configuration, unit testing, verification, and preparation of customer equipment before go-live.
  • Spot issues quickly and work on practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Inform the installation engineer without delay if installation or testing is not being performed correctly.
  • Document test outcomes in measurement sheets and create appropriate reports.
  • Offer technical assistance to customer, Thales, or subcontractor teams for installation-related concerns.
  • Support Post Installation Check Out (PICO), testing, and commissioning activities in coordination with the relevant teams.
  • Assist technical specialists in integration testing, troubleshooting, and commissioning tests whenever needed.
  • Ensure all work meets standards for quality, security, and suitability.
  • Calibrate test and measurement equipment.
  • Prepare daily reports on system operational issues and create PCRs when required.
  • Monitor systems using available tools and report any deviations or defects.

Work Experience

  • Hands-on knowledge and experience in installing and maintaining transportation security systems, especially communication and signaling systems.

Education and Certification Requirements

  • A diploma in Electronics or Communications is mandatory.
  • The diploma must be certified by the Saudi Engineering Council (SEC).

Preferred Skills

  • Experience with installation, commissioning, and troubleshooting work.
  • Ability to carry out basic system configuration tasks.
  • Practical skill in using and calibrating electronic tools and equipment.
  • Capability to perform preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Ability to draft clear technical reports.
