About the Role

The Building and Construction Authority (BCA) plays a key role in advancing Singapore's built environment, prioritizing safety, quality, sustainability, and user-friendliness. This position involves active participation in overseeing unauthorised building works to uphold these standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct routine inspections to detect unauthorised structures.
• Investigate reports of illicit constructions by collecting necessary evidence to evaluate adherence to regulations.
• Apply and enforce building codes and regulations to ensure compliance.
• Keep detailed records including photographic evidence, violation notices, and communications with involved parties.
• Compile comprehensive reports summarizing investigation findings, compliance evaluations, and recommended measures for regulatory action.
• Engage with property owners, developers, and other relevant parties to clarify regulatory requirements, address concerns, and promote lawful practices.
• Mediating with property owners to achieve amicable resolutions while ensuring compliance.

Candidate Profile

• Education in civil or structural engineering.
• Minimum of two years experience in design and on-site roles.
• Proficient in both spoken and written English.
