Role overview
The Inside Sales Specialist will be part of GE Vernova’s HV Grid Solutions commercial team, supporting the end-to-end tendering and proposal process. This role is responsible for building competitive offers, responding to customer questions, and working closely with internal teams to keep commercial submissions accurate, compliant, and on schedule. The position also includes ensuring a smooth transition of work to Operations so projects can begin on time.
Key responsibilities
- Develop quotations, proposals, and tender packs for HV GIS, AIS, transformers, and HV services.
- Handle customer queries, clarify requirements, and assist Sales Managers throughout the offer preparation stage.
- Work across Engineering, Finance, Operations, Sourcing, and Legal to create complete and policy-compliant bids.
- Validate pricing, commercial structure, and compliance with GE Vernova DOA and wider commercial governance standards.
- Organize and carry out a structured handover to Operations to support a timely project kickoff.
- Keep CRM and tendering systems up to date and contribute to process improvements using Lean methods.
Required qualifications
- A bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electromechanical Engineering, or a closely related discipline is required.
- At least 2 years of experience in inside sales, tendering, proposal development, sales support, sales operations, or a similar function is needed.
- Strong command of English is mandatory.
- As per UAE localization expectations, preference will be given to qualified UAE National candidates.
Preferred profile
- Working knowledge of high-voltage electrical equipment or substation projects is helpful; training will be provided.
- Ability to speak French and Arabic is an advantage.
- Well-developed organization and follow-up skills are important.
- Comfort working with cross-functional teams across different regions and time zones.
- A customer-focused mindset with interest in learning and progressing within a commercial environment.
- Capability to stay effective under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Experience using CRM platforms such as Salesforce or other tendering tools is beneficial.
- A continuous-improvement approach aligned with Lean practices is valued.
- Candidates must be legally eligible to work in KSA and Bahrain without sponsorship or time limits from the company.
