Innovation & AI Technology Lead Business Analyst - Leading Financial Services

Overview

An established financial services company is looking for an Innovation & AI Technology Business Analyst to spearhead the translation of business innovations into scalable technology and AI solutions across the enterprise. Positioned within the Technology department, this strategic role works closely with the Innovation team to guide business analysis for innovation programs, shape AI-driven solutions, and ensure technology developments align precisely with business requirements. Close collaboration with senior stakeholders from business, technology, data, and innovation teams is critical to advancing digital transformation and generating tangible business impact.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis for the organization's innovation and AI projects, collaborating with Innovation, Business, and Technology teams to find opportunities leveraging emerging technologies and AI to improve customer experience, operational effectiveness, and growth.
• Serve as the chief liaison between Innovation and Technology functions, facilitating discovery workshops, gathering and documenting requirements, mapping complex business workflows, and preparing business cases that support strategic investment choices.
• Partner with Architecture, Engineering, Data, AI, Product, and Cybersecurity groups to evaluate solution feasibility, define target operational models, establish functional requirements, and create implementation roadmaps.
• Support delivery phases including proofs of concept, pilot programs, and large-scale implementations, ensuring continuous alignment of business needs throughout.
• Monitor new technology and AI trends, propose innovative solutions, build consensus among stakeholders, and mentor junior business analysts while embedding best practices within the analysis team.

Experience and Skills Required

• 8 to 15 years' experience in senior or lead business analyst roles, technology consulting, digital transformation, or product analysis, ideally within financial services or other sizable enterprises.
• Strong capabilities in business analysis including stakeholder engagement, requirements gathering, business process modeling, solution design, and business case preparation.
• Proven track record in delivering digital transformation, innovation, AI, or tech initiatives at the enterprise level, with sound knowledge of cloud computing, APIs, enterprise applications, data systems, AI, and automation platforms.
• Hands-on familiarity with Generative AI, AI agents, machine learning, intelligent automation, or digital innovation programs is highly beneficial.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to influence senior business and technology leaders, challenge existing ideas, and convert complex issues into actionable technology strategies.
• Experience navigating cross-functional teams across business, technology, innovation, risk, and operations within regulated financial services environments is preferred.
• Ability to work effectively in ambiguous situations balancing innovative approaches with execution focus and driving strategic results across multiple initiatives.
