About the Role
This position focuses on immediate injury response, recovery support, and ongoing case management for people working on site. The role requires a practical, people-first approach to delivering first aid, managing injury-related processes, and helping reduce the likelihood of future injury or illness through health and wellness initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide prompt and effective treatment for injuries in line with accepted occupational health practices.
- Guide injured team members through treatment, rehabilitation, and return-to-work support.
- Handle activities linked to both work-related and non-work-related injuries.
- Keep records complete, secure, and confidential at all times.
- Stay in regular contact with department leaders and injured employees so they remain informed about progress, obligations, and next steps.
About You
The ideal candidate has experience in immediate injury care and/or injury claims administration, along with knowledge of the ACC claims process and related requirements. You should be able to spot ways to lower injury risk in the workplace, communicate clearly with people from varied backgrounds, and build strong working relationships. A supportive attitude toward health and safety is essential.
- Working knowledge of ACC and the Accredited Employers Programme.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to connect with people from different backgrounds.
- A current First Aid certificate is an advantage.
- Understanding of physiotherapy or rehabilitation principles is helpful but not required.
- Comfortable using computers and maintaining accurate, private health records.
