Overview
This remote role is designed for military affiliated individuals including Veterans, active military transitioning personnel, National Guard and Reserve members, Military Spouses, Wounded Warriors, and their Caregivers. The position cannot be filled by candidates from California, District of Columbia, Illinois, Montana, Rhode Island, or outside the continental United States due to specific employer constraints.
Key Responsibilities
- Serve as the initial point of contact for prospective Veterans seeking VA disability claims.
- Engage potential claimants through both inbound and outbound communications.
- Assess eligibility based on established criteria for initial claims.
- Inform Veterans about necessary documentation and instruct on how to acquire these records.
- Provide compliant resources and guidance to assist Veterans in document collection.
- Follow up systematically to monitor progress and maintain engagement momentum.
- Offer limited assistance in document gathering and organization as needed.
- Develop trusting relationships using compassionate and professional communication.
- Thoroughly record all interactions, qualification details, and next steps in the CRM system.
- Ensure candidates meet readiness standards before handing off to closing Intake Coordinators.
- Coordinate warm transitions to subsequent intake personnel.
- Strictly comply with all regulatory, privacy, and compliance mandates.
- Participate in training sessions, coaching, and contribute to process improvements.
Qualifications
- Minimum of a high school diploma or GED equivalent.
- At least two years’ experience in inside sales support or customer-facing roles.
- Excellent verbal communication and phone etiquette skills.
- Strong organizational skills with meticulous attention to detail.
- Ability to clearly explain processes and guide Veterans step-by-step.
- Familiarity with CRM software, preferably Salesforce.
- Competency in Microsoft Office and collaborative digital tools.
- Preferred: Knowledge of VA disability, medical, or healthcare sectors.
- Preferred: Experience supporting Veterans or military families.
- Preferred: Background in intake, qualification, or documentation-intensive roles.
- Preferred: Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree.
Work Schedule & Compensation
- Hourly pay rate of $22 per hour.
- Start date scheduled for August 19, 2026.
- Training hours: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM across EST, CST, MST, PST time zones.
- Post-training hours maintain the same schedule.
