Role overview
Evolution Singapore is looking for an Information Technology Operations Specialist for a 12-month contract in Singapore. This role sits within the IT Operations function and focuses on keeping infrastructure, services, and end-user computing running smoothly while supporting projects, governance, and operational excellence.
Skills and experience
- You should bring 3 to 5 years of practical, hands-on experience in IT infrastructure and IT operations.
- A solid working knowledge of Microsoft Windows Server, Azure Cloud, end-user computing, Active Directory, virtualization, networking, backup and recovery, and security tools is expected.
- Experience with disaster recovery planning and execution is important.
- Exposure to the financial services industry, especially banking and insurance, along with familiarity with MAS Technology Risk Management requirements, will be an advantage.
- Strong knowledge of ITIL and ITSM practices is required, and any experience in project management will be helpful.
- You should be comfortable working with internal stakeholders, end users, and external vendors.
- Good teamwork, analytical thinking, and problem-solving skills are needed.
Responsibilities
- Act as a key contributor to the IT Operations team that supports IT infrastructure, services, and end-user computing.
- Oversee and control infrastructure services delivered by outsourcing partners and managed service providers, including contract and billing-related matters.
- Take ownership of infrastructure projects or contribute to them, such as technology refreshes, upgrades, migrations, and the creation of new infrastructure capabilities.
- Handle day-to-day operational work, including incident management, service request fulfilment, change requests, and application support.
- Coordinate disaster recovery activities with relevant teams and users, including recovery planning, strategy, and execution.
- Support IT audit-related activities and associated management tasks.
- Make sure all deliveries and solutions align with internal policies, procedures, standards, and compliance obligations.
- Maintain and document IT operations procedures and standards in the knowledge base as needed.
- Carry out system and network patching, as well as capacity and performance management.
- Review system performance and suggest improvements where needed.
- Ensure data is handled, transferred, and processed in line with company guidelines and established processes.
