Role Overview
The IT Business Analyst / Developer at Tuath Housing Association in Dublin will play a vital role in pinpointing and delivering software requirements by creating and managing essential business applications and databases.
Key Duties
- Manage the ongoing upkeep and support of Tuath's primary business systems, including property management and financial platforms.
- Analyze business user requirements to identify software needs, leveraging expertise in computing capabilities, relevant domains, programming languages, and logic.
- Critically assess information from various inputs, resolve contradictions, break down complex data, generalize details, and distinguish actual user needs from requests.
- Conduct formal cost-benefit analyses of user business requirements to inform solutions.
- Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, interacting effectively with executives, managers, and subject matter experts.
- Design and maintain software applications and databases by reviewing client requirements and developing solutions aligned with IT standards.
- Validate software functionality through testing and adjust program sequencing or code as necessary.
- Develop and update policies and procedures to maintain computer systems and programming standards.
Training and Professional Development
- Deliver training sessions to end users when needed.
- Participate in or seek out training opportunities suitable for the role.
- Enhance professional and technical expertise through courses, reading professional materials, networking, and involvement in professional organizations.
- Actively promote the Association positively in all activities.
- Perform all other duties aligned with the responsibilities of this role.
