Job description
Role overview
Tuath Housing is seeking a senior digital leader to steer and speed up its organisation-wide transformation programme. The position will turn strategic ambitions into practical, tenant-focused digital improvements that strengthen service delivery, raise operational performance, support evidence-based decisions, and build organisational resilience.
The successful candidate will connect strategy, technology, people, and processes so that digital change creates measurable benefits for residents, employees, and stakeholders, while staying within the required governance and regulatory standards.
Key responsibilities
- Design and implement Tuath’s digital transformation plan so it supports business strategy and future growth.
- Promote a digital-first approach across housing operations, customer service, finance, property services, and corporate teams.
- Convert organisational challenges into scalable digital and process-improvement initiatives with clear results.
- Lead projects that improve tenant engagement, accessibility, service quality, and multi-channel self-service options.
- Partner with housing and customer teams to ensure solutions are inclusive, user-friendly, and consistent with Tuath’s values.
- Oversee the use of data platforms, including ActiveH MIS, data warehousing, and BI reporting, to strengthen insight and decision-making.
- Drive the responsible use of AI and automation, ensuring compliance with governance, GDPR, and emerging regulations.
- Build data literacy and AI-informed decision capability across leadership and operational teams.
- Review and redesign high-volume or high-friction processes using automation, digital tools, and workflow improvements.
- Make sure new digital processes are adopted, embedded, and continuously refined across departments.
- Create and maintain strong governance arrangements for data protection, information security, AI usage, and technology risk.
- Work with IT, Legal, and Governance teams to ensure all digital activity meets regulatory and sector expectations.
- Lead and coach digital, transformation, and change resources, whether directly managed or matrix-managed.
- Strengthen internal capability through training, engagement, and clear communication around change.
- Support colleagues through transformation and wider cultural change as a senior change leader.
- Manage relationships with internal stakeholders, executive leaders, and external partners.
- Represent Tuath in sector groups and partnerships connected to digital innovation and transformation.
Requirements
- A degree in an IT-related discipline is essential.
- Extensive senior-level experience leading digital transformation or large-scale change programmes in a complex organisation.
- Strong knowledge of digital service design, process change, and data-led decision-making.
- Proven ability to drive organisational change and influence senior leadership and board-level stakeholders.
- Experience working across multiple business functions and converting strategy into delivery.
- Solid understanding of data protection, governance, and risk management in digital initiatives.
- Experience in housing, public sector, not-for-profit, or other regulated environments is preferred.
- Experience with AI enablement, automation, and modern data platforms is preferred.
- A formal qualification in digital transformation, change management, or a related area is desirable.
- The right candidate should be strategic, outcomes-focused, collaborative, people-centred, comfortable with ambiguity, and confident influencing others.
- Alignment with Tuath’s social purpose and values is important.
