Job description
Role Overview
The ICT Manager or ICT Associate supports the school’s digital learning environment and helps create a lively, technology-enabled setting where students can grow and thrive. In this role, you will work with MOE’s Digital Excellence and Products Division to roll out initiatives that fit the school curriculum and improve students’ learning experiences. You will also assist school leaders and the management team in shaping and delivering ICT plans.
Key Responsibilities
- Help advance digital transformation by recommending suitable ICT tools and applications for inclusion in the school’s ICT roadmap.
- Support teachers in using effective ICT practices, tools, and applications for teaching and learning, and help train school staff to use digital solutions that improve productivity and streamline day-to-day work.
- Assist with the management of ICT infrastructure, including the implementation of core ICT security safeguards.
- Monitor the use of ICT funding and support the HOD ICT in identifying suitable ways to track and manage expenditure.
What We Are Looking For
- A strong interest in ICT and a drive to support digital transformation through new ideas.
- Ability to work well with others and communicate effectively within a team setting.
- Strong planning and organisational ability, with the flexibility to handle multiple tasks at once.
- Preferably at least 3 years of relevant experience in ICT systems, digitalisation efforts, and training users to adopt digital tools.
- Willingness to travel between schools and HQ locations as part of the role.
Selection Process and Additional Information
Applicants who are shortlisted will attend a virtual interview and may be considered for either the ICT Manager or ICT Associate position, depending on overall fit.
Schools may also choose to engage candidates on shorter 1-year Adjunct Contracts.
Those who progress past the first round will be added to a central register for 12 weeks for consideration by schools. During this period, additional assessments such as interviews or work trials may be arranged. If no school contacts the candidate within this period, the application may be treated as unsuccessful.
As part of the application process, candidates may need to complete a medical examination, which will be fully covered by MOE. Instructions will be provided separately. This medical check is part of selection and does not mean an offer has been made.
