Role overview
Nichebit is looking for an experienced InfoArchive Developer to support remote delivery on InfoArchive platforms. The role calls for deep hands-on work with InfoArchive products and related technologies, along with the ability to operate independently and collaborate with onsite leads or project managers as needed.
Key responsibilities
- Work with InfoArchive product components, including InfoArchive shell, Submission Information Packages (SIP), SDK, gateway, and web applications.
- Handle installation, solution design, and configuration of InfoArchive applications.
- Perform InfoArchive upgrade and migration activities.
- Use shell and bash scripts to create and install applications, define retention settings, and configure search, encryption, and masking for data ingestion and search workflows.
- Support data migration activities using Content Bridge, OpenText Integration Center, Talend, and other third-party ETL tools for SIP creation.
- Apply xDB knowledge for migrations to PostgreSQL.
- Work with archive concepts such as table archiving, data record archiving, file archiving, and compound business record archiving across multiple applications.
- Use RDBMS knowledge while working with Oracle and SQL Server, including structured and unstructured database scenarios.
- Contribute to architecture design and planning for physical, virtualized, or cloud environments.
- Coordinate with onsite leads/PMs, work independently when required, and adapt to team-based or individual task delivery.
- Be willing to support EMEA or US shifts when needed to align with onsite coverage.
Requirements
- At least 6 years of relevant experience.
- Strong working knowledge of InfoArchive and Java, which are mandatory for this role.
- Practical experience with PostgreSQL.
- Exposure to installation, configuration, migration, and upgrade work in InfoArchive environments.
- Comfort with shell/bash scripting and archive/search configuration tasks.
- Experience with data migration tools such as Content Bridge, OpenText Integration Center, Talend, or similar ETL solutions.
- Understanding of xDB-based migration to PostgreSQL.
- Solid grasp of RDBMS fundamentals and familiarity with Oracle and SQL Server.
- Ability to work across physical, virtual, and cloud-based environments.
- Strong collaboration, prioritization, and independent working skills.
- Availability to start within 0 to 30 days notice period.
