About the Role
We are looking for a careful, driven Graduate Cybersecurity Analyst to help protect systems, networks, and sensitive data while supporting day-to-day security operations. This remote role in the United Kingdom is a strong fit for a recent graduate who wants to begin a long-term career in cybersecurity within a collaborative and supportive team.
In this position, you will work with experienced security staff and gain practical exposure to monitoring, incident handling, vulnerability management, and compliance tasks. The role is designed to build your technical knowledge and analytical ability across multiple areas of cybersecurity.
Key Responsibilities
- Track security alerts, event logs, and activity across security tools and platforms.
- Assist senior team members with incident response tasks and follow-up actions.
- Help carry out basic vulnerability reviews and monitor remediation progress.
- Maintain security records, documentation, policies, procedures, and compliance logs.
- Review suspected security issues and escalate them through the appropriate process.
- Support regular security monitoring and reporting work.
- Contribute to security audits, risk reviews, and compliance-related activities when needed.
- Work closely with IT and security teams to support a secure working environment.
Required Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree in Cybersecurity, Computer Science, Information Technology, or a similar discipline.
- Foundational knowledge of networking, operating systems, and core cybersecurity concepts.
- Good analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Strong focus on accuracy and the ability to follow established procedures.
- Comfort working under pressure while staying composed and methodical.
- Clear written and spoken communication skills.
- A willingness to learn and expand technical cybersecurity knowledge.
- Comfort using standard computer applications and systems.
Preferred Experience
- Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+ or an equivalent credential.
- Exposure to security monitoring tools, SIEM systems, or endpoint protection solutions.
- Awareness of common cyber threats, weaknesses, and attack methods.
- Any internship, academic project, or practical experience in cybersecurity or IT support.
