Role Overview
Arden Park Post Acute is hiring a detail-focused LVN Infection Preventionist Nurse for a skilled nursing setting in Sacramento, CA. The position centers on infection prevention, resident safety, and supporting high-quality clinical care. This opportunity is well-suited to a nurse who is organized, proactive, self-assured, and comfortable teaching staff while helping the facility stay aligned with regulatory expectations.
Compensation
The pay range for this position is $40 to $45 per hour.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate the facility’s infection prevention and control program.
- Track infection trends, document findings, and submit reports in line with CDC, OSHA, and public health requirements.
- Perform infection-control audits, surveillance activities, and routine facility walkthroughs.
- Train staff through education sessions and in-service instruction on infection prevention practices.
- Support adherence to state and federal healthcare regulations.
- Partner with the Director of Nursing and the broader interdisciplinary team to strengthen resident outcomes.
- Keep logs, records, and reporting systems accurate and up to date.
- Recognize risk areas and help implement corrective action plans.
Qualifications
- An active California LVN license is required.
- Prior exposure to infection prevention is preferred, or a solid clinical background in skilled nursing or post-acute care.
- Working understanding of infection control standards and regulatory requirements is needed.
- Strong organization and careful attention to detail are important for success in this role.
- Good communication skills and the ability to educate staff effectively are essential.
