About the role

Pikes Peak Post Acute is looking for a Transportation Driver to support safe and dependable resident travel. The role is based in Greenville, North Carolina, at a facility that emphasizes a close-knit, care-focused environment.   • Pay range: $14–15 per hour
  • Shift: Day shift

What you will do

  • Help residents get into and out of approved facility vehicles safely.
  • Transport residents to medical appointments and other approved outings or activities.
  • Keep the inside and outside of the vehicle clean, safe, and presentable.
  • Track vehicle maintenance records and take vehicles in for routine service such as oil changes and tire rotations.
  • Handle other related duties as needed.

What the employer is looking for

  • Applicants must be at least 25 years old.
  • A valid driver’s license is required, along with knowledge of GPS use and the local area.
  • Must successfully pass a drug test, background check, and driving record review.
  • CPR and First Aid certification are required.
  • Flexibility is important in case appointments or activities run longer than expected.
  • Training and proven ability in safe clinical transfer methods are required, including moving patients in and out of vans and wheelchairs and securing wheelchair-bound residents in van bays.
  • Ability to lift, move, and transfer patients weighing up to 75 pounds independently in tight spaces inside a van.
  • Must be able to make sound decisions when working with a highly dependent patient population.
