Team Overview
The SME & Growth Business team is focused on helping small and medium-sized businesses succeed in the global economy. The team blends financial know-how with a growth-oriented mindset, working closely with clients to understand their needs and design solutions that simplify cross-border payments and open up new revenue opportunities.
Role Summary
As an Inbound Sales Representative for SME & Growth, you will be part of a fast-moving team responsible for supporting Airwallex’s growth across Southeast Asia, with a focus on the Indonesia market. This position is based in Singapore. You will manage the full sales journey for SME leads, from initial outreach and qualification through pitching, onboarding, and activating new customers. You will also partner with Marketing and Channel Partnerships to drive revenue, improve lead flow, and strengthen the customer experience.
What You Will Do
- Represent Airwallex professionally and create a strong first impression through product knowledge and a high-quality customer experience.
- Assess inbound prospects by using data and direct conversations to understand business needs and identify suitable use cases.
- Explain how Airwallex products work and guide customers toward adoption and activation.
- Serve as the customer’s advocate internally by sharing feedback and needs with relevant teams.
- Work with Marketing and Channel Partnerships to improve lead generation, lead quality, and revenue outcomes.
- Use targeted outbound follow-up where needed to engage high-potential prospects and convert pain points into solutions.
- Keep CRM information current, support reporting, and maintain efficient sales processes.
- Hit or exceed performance goals such as calls made, meetings scheduled, and clients onboarded.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate is persistent, self-driven, and comfortable working in a high-volume sales environment. You should be able to manage many leads efficiently, communicate clearly with both internal and external stakeholders, and stay organized while balancing speed and quality.
Applicant Safety and Equal Opportunity
Airwallex will never request bank details, sensitive identification information such as passport numbers, or payment at any stage of the application or interview process. Any legitimate communication will come from an @airwallex.com email address. Applicants should use only the company’s official careers page or official company profile when applying.
The company does not accept unsolicited resumes from search firms or recruiters unless there is a specific agreement in place for the role. It is an equal opportunity employer and assesses candidates based on merit, qualifications, competence, and talent. Hiring decisions are made without regard to protected characteristics, and reasonable accommodations are available for candidates with disabilities or special needs.
Preferred Background
Helpful experience includes work in fintech, payments, SaaS, or another fast-growing startup. Familiarity with the Indonesia market and SME or startup customer segments is also advantageous. Exposure to CRM systems such as Salesforce and tools in Google Workspace is a plus. A bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, or a related discipline is preferred.
Additional Notes
The role calls for strong English and Bahasa Indonesia communication skills. Candidates should be comfortable handling around 40 leads per day or more, depending on assignment volume, and be prepared to work toward measurable sales KPIs.
