Role Overview

The In Stock Specialist is crucial in managing in-stock status, pricing accuracy, and the effectiveness of electronic shelf tags as well as an AI-supported in-stock camera system. This role drives shelf availability, planogram compliance, and pricing integrity, particularly during product transitions and promotional periods. It requires an individual who epitomizes hospitality, teamwork, and commitment to excellent guest experiences. Working in a dynamic pace, the specialist ensures proper product placement, signage accuracy, and assists in maintaining front-end operational support during busy times.

Primary Responsibilities

• Maintain and verify functionality of electronic shelf tags and Captana AI systems
• Act as liaison for AI-powered in-stock tracking cameras
• Regularly monitor and address out-of-stock situations to maximize product availability
• Ensure planogram compliance and accurate product positioning
• Guarantee pricing accuracy across all departments, including shelf tags and promotional materials
• Ensure adherence to compliance standards during key item changes and promotions
• Support cashiering and other front-end duties during peak periods
• Confirm accuracy of deals, promotions, and price adjustments on signage and shelf tags
• Conduct spot pricing audits and resolve discrepancies to uphold pricing integrity

Schedule and Availability

This position requires flexibility to work varying shifts that may include weekends, daytime, evenings, and holidays.

Qualifications

• A minimum of two years experience in retail, grocery, restaurant, or hospitality environments
• One to two years experience managing teams or coordinating team efforts
• Keen attention to detail combined with strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask efficiently in a fast-paced setting
• Must be at least 18 years old

Preferred Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Background in retail, culinary, or grocery sectors
• Familiarity with electronic shelf labeling systems, inventory technologies, or AI-enhanced retail tools

Physical Demands and Working Conditions

• Repetitive hand and arm activities including grasping, bending, reaching
• Ability to lift, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds independently
• Use of various tools and equipment such as knives, ladders, stepstools, box cutters, and pallet jacks
• Extended periods standing or walking without breaks for up to 4 hours or as legally required
• Requirement to wear approved head coverings and personal protective gear
