Role overview
Dromoland Castle is hiring a full-time In Room Dining Attendant to join its hospitality team in Newmarket on Fergus, County Clare. This position is part of a 5-over-7 rota, with shifts scheduled across the week from Monday through Sunday, including both weekday and weekend coverage.
In this role, you will help deliver a polished, five-star in-room dining experience that aligns with Forbes Five-Star service expectations. You will also provide support across other food and beverage service areas as needed, with a strong emphasis on professional conduct, careful attention to detail, and consistently high standards of guest care.
Key duties
- Bring room service orders to guests and collect trays or items back in keeping with luxury hospitality standards.
- Keep the room service area tidy, well stocked, and neatly arranged.
- Support Afternoon Tea and Gallery Menu service when required.
- Prepare and assist with tea and coffee breaks for meetings and private functions.
- Step in to support the Fine Dining Restaurant team during peak service times.
- Maintain a consistently high level of guest attention and service quality.
Candidate profile
The ideal applicant will have prior experience in a comparable role within a 4-star or 5-star hotel setting. You should come across as warm, polished, and assured, with strong communication skills. The role suits someone who is well organised, works efficiently under pressure, and is comfortable adapting to evening, weekend, and rotating shift patterns. A genuine enthusiasm for hospitality and guest satisfaction is important.
