Role overview

Casual Fridays is looking for five part-time independent contractors to create on-the-ground content for hotel and resort clients in major hospitality markets across the United States. The available markets are Boston, Massachusetts; Key West, Florida; Sarasota / West Palm Beach / Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; and New York, New York, with one opening in each location.

This is a project-driven role for a dependable, creative self-starter who can independently visit hotels, restaurants, attractions, local events, and community happenings to capture polished visual content.

Casual Fridays is a hospitality marketing agency focused on social media, content production, paid social, and digital marketing for hotels, resorts, and travel brands throughout the United States.

What you will do

You will partner with the Account and Creative teams to collect photo and video assets for social campaigns. The work includes capturing content on location, making light edits when needed, and turning over finished assets on time based on the project brief.

The schedule is flexible and based on client needs. Local travel within your market is part of the role, and you may occasionally support the team during site visits, content shoots, special projects, or local events.

Responsibilities

• Shoot strong iPhone photos and videos for hotel, resort, and broader hospitality accounts.
• Produce short-form videos suited to platforms such as Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and similar channels.
• Work from shot lists, creative direction, and content requests shared by the Casual Fridays team.
• Ensure the content aligns with each client’s brand standards and marketing objectives.
• Travel to assigned hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions, and other local experiences in your market.
• Coordinate smoothly with property teams, client contacts, and internal team members during visits.
• Represent the agency professionally while working on-site.
• Look for natural guest-experience moments and compelling storytelling opportunities.
• Attend and capture content at festivals, activations, community events, and other local happenings when asked.
• Support team members during client visits, shoots, and special assignments.
• Edit photo and video assets as required.
• Package completed short-form videos for social use.
• Organize, upload, and deliver assets according to the agreed workflow and deadlines.
• Join occasional virtual meetings with the team.
• Share updates early and clearly about schedules, project progress, and content requirements.
• Work closely with Account Managers, Account Coordinators, and Creative staff to keep output aligned with client goals.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience creating content for social media.
• Strong skill in iPhone-based photography and videography.
• Experience editing video with mobile or desktop tools.
• Good communication and strong personal organization.
• Ability to work without close supervision and meet deadlines.
• Comfort dealing with clients and hotel staff.
• Access to dependable transportation within the local market.
• Availability for occasional weekday, evening, or weekend shoots.
• Experience in hospitality, hotels, tourism, restaurants, or travel is preferred.
• Prior work creating content for brands or businesses is preferred.
• Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube trends is preferred.
• A portfolio showing photography, videography, and short-form content work is preferred.

Compensation and terms

This is an independent contractor position with part-time, project-based work. Pay is determined by experience, market, and the size of the assignment. When applicable, pre-approved project expenses may be reimbursed.
