About the company
Casual Fridays is a hospitality marketing agency that works with hotels, resorts, and travel brands across the United States. Its services include social media strategy, content production, paid social, and digital marketing.
Role overview
The company is looking for five part-time independent contractors to create on-location content in major hospitality markets across the U.S. One contractor will be placed in each of the following areas: Boston, Massachusetts; Key West, Florida; Sarasota / West Palm Beach / Fort Lauderdale, Florida; Atlanta, Georgia; and New York, New York.
This is a flexible, project-driven role for someone who is self-directed, dependable, and comfortable producing content at hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions, and local experiences.
What the job involves
You will partner with Account and Creative teams to produce photography and video assets for social media campaigns. Work will include shooting on-site, making edits where required, and handing over finished content according to the project schedule.
The position requires travel within your local market. At times, you may also cover local events, festivals, activations, and community activities. You may occasionally collaborate directly with Casual Fridays team members during client visits, shoots, and special assignments.
Content creation responsibilities
- Produce strong iPhone photos and videos for hospitality clients.
- Develop short-form videos designed for Instagram Reels, TikTok, Facebook, and similar platforms.
- Work from provided shot lists, creative directions, and content requests.
- Make sure the assets match each client’s brand standards and campaign objectives.
On-site production responsibilities
- Visit assigned hotels, resorts, restaurants, attractions, and other local experiences in your market.
- Coordinate with property staff, client contacts, and Casual Fridays team members during visits.
- Maintain a professional presence while representing the agency on location.
- Look for natural guest moments and storytelling opportunities.
- Cover events, festivals, activations, and community happenings when needed.
- Support destination and client storytelling through visual content capture.
Editing, delivery, and teamwork
- Edit photos and videos as needed.
- Build finished short-form videos ready for social use.
- Organize and upload content following established processes and deadlines.
- Submit assets to the team promptly.
- Join occasional virtual meetings with the Casual Fridays team.
- Share updates proactively on scheduling, progress, and content requirements.
- Work closely with Account Managers, Account Coordinators, and Creative team members to keep content aligned with client goals.
Qualifications
- Hands-on experience creating social media content.
- Strong iPhone-based photography and videography ability.
- Comfort using mobile or desktop tools to edit video.
- Good communication and time management skills.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
- Comfort interacting with clients and hotel staff.
- Reliable transportation for travel within the local market.
- Availability for occasional weekday, evening, or weekend shoots.
Preferred background
- Experience in hospitality, hotels, tourism, restaurants, or travel.
- Prior work creating content for brands or businesses.
- Awareness of content trends on Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, and YouTube.
- A portfolio that shows photography, videography, and short-form content work.
Compensation and terms
This is an independent contractor role with part-time, project-based work. Pay will depend on experience, market, and the scope of each assignment. Pre-approved project expenses may be reimbursed when applicable.
