Position overview
For the Municipal Health Department of the City of Bonn, several permanent positions are available at the earliest possible date for Hygienekontrolleur*innen in the Infectious Disease Control and Environmental Hygiene division. The role is classified at pay grade 9a under the collective agreement for the public sector (TVöD), and the employment is open-ended.
The health department supports public health work at the municipal level for Bonn, a city of around 347,000 residents. Within this setting, the infectious disease control unit plays an important role in preventing contagious diseases and stopping them from spreading further.
What the role involves
- Monitoring hygiene standards and advising community facilities in line with the Infection Protection Act.
- Supporting infectious disease control, including handling notifications related to transmissible illnesses.
- Contributing to housing hygiene, local hygiene, and environmental hygiene activities.
- Assisting with tasks connected to the Drinking Water Ordinance.

- Valid Class B driving licence and readiness to drive a company vehicle or use a personal car for work with reimbursement of expenses.
Additional information
This is a full-time position, although part-time arrangements can also be considered.
