About the Role
We are looking for experienced Hygiene Operatives to join Pilgrim's Europe at our Craigavon site. This crucial position ensures that hygiene standards and food safety regulations are rigorously maintained, supporting smooth operational performance throughout the factory.

- Working hours: Monday to Friday, night shift from 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
Core Responsibilities
- Thorough cleaning of factory machinery
- Sanitising all factory areas including floors, corridors, and walls
- Dismantling machinery as part of the cleaning process
- Operating various cleaning equipment effectively
- Reporting any damages noticed on cleaning tools, production machines, or factory infrastructure
- Using cleaning chemicals safely and correctly
- Collaborating with production staff and other team members
- Carrying out additional reasonable tasks as assigned
Working Conditions and Team Structure
This role operates primarily in refrigerated factory zones with prolonged standing periods required. The position involves effective teamwork and direct reporting through a structured management hierarchy from hygiene area managers to site managers. Strict adherence to health and safety regulations is mandatory.
Candidate Profile
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills
- Ability to read, write and communicate clearly in English
- Clear thinking and problem-solving ability
- Teamwork capability
- Demonstrated mechanical aptitude
- Strong manual dexterity
- Good communication and interpersonal skills advantageous
- Ability to take initiative and work independently is a plus
- Experience working to tight schedules is preferred
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals beneficial
- Awareness and commitment to Health, Safety, and Hygiene standards
- Previous experience in food manufacturing or industrial cleaning desirable
