Hygiene Operative - Night Shift

Role overview

Pilgrim's Europe is hiring full-time night shift operatives for its Hygiene Department at the Llanidloes site in Wales. The role is suited to candidates who are eager to pick up new skills, stay focused, and bring a strong, motivated attitude. Team and reporting line

You will report to the Hygiene Manager and work alongside the wider Hygiene team to keep production and packing areas clean and ready for use.

Working hours

The standard shift runs Monday to Friday, from 17:00 to 01:00, with some flexibility.

Key duties

• Prepare, switch over, and run equipment and machinery in line with standard operating procedures so output and quality targets are met.
• Follow all food safety and hygiene rules at all times.
• Use high-pressure water guns as part of the cleaning process.
• Monitor processes and suggest any changes needed to keep products and operations within specification.
• Remove waste bins from production areas whenever required.
• Clean and wash factory floors and other areas as needed.

Candidate profile

The employer is looking for someone who can work on their own initiative, handle practical and manual tasks, and learn new processes quickly. Basic health and safety awareness is important, as is familiarity with COSHH. A cooperative approach, problem-solving ability, and willingness to be trained are also valued. Previous experience in factory cleaning would be an advantage.
