Role Summary

This full-time, on-site position is for a Travel Lift Operator in Abu Dhabi. The role centers on the safe operation of travel lifts and associated lifting tools to move, launch, and haul boats around the yard.

Key Duties

• Operate travel lifts and related lifting equipment safely for vessel movement, launching, and haul-out activities.
• Check lifting equipment before each use to confirm it is in proper working condition.
• Set up slings and blocks correctly and secure vessels before movement.
• Work closely with ground crews to guide boat movement safely and efficiently.
• Carry out routine inspections of equipment and report any repair or maintenance needs promptly.
• Follow site rules, safety instructions, and all required operating procedures.
• Support general yard organization and assist with boat handling tasks as needed.
• Maintain clear communication with supervisors and coworkers to keep work flowing smoothly.

Skills and Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating travel lifts, cranes, or similar heavy lifting machinery in marine, industrial, or construction settings.
• Good knowledge of safety practices for heavy equipment use, lifting operations, and handling vessels or large loads.
• Basic mechanical understanding to perform checks, spot issues, and help coordinate maintenance.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills for coordinating with ground staff, supervisors, and yard teams.
• Ability to work outdoors on site and handle physically demanding tasks such as standing, climbing, and movement around the yard.
• Prior exposure to a boat yard, shipyard, or marine services environment is an advantage.
• Equipment operation certificates or licenses required by local rules will be considered a plus.
• Dependable work ethic, consistent attendance, and openness to learning company procedures.
