HVAC Service Technician

Position Summary

This permanent, full-time role involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing heating, ventilation, and cooling systems for commercial and public sector clients. The position is based in Smithfield, Rhode Island, and includes travel throughout the service area.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, and repair commercial and public HVAC units, including diagnosing electronic, mechanical, and electrical faults.
• Coordinate with dispatch to maintain scheduling and communicate any delays to customers promptly.
• Ensure company vehicle is well-maintained, including regular refueling, cleaning, and reporting mechanical issues through monthly inspections.
• Maintain adequate inventory of parts, tools, and safety equipment in the company vehicle to support efficient service delivery.

Qualifications

• At least 3 years of practical HVAC experience.
• Possession of a Rhode Island J1 or J2 license, or a Massachusetts journeyman license in pipefitting, sheet metal, or refrigeration.
• Valid driver's license and EPA certification.
• Ability and willingness to pass a background check.
