About the Role
This remote contract opportunity is with Mercor, a company that matches strong creative and technical professionals with major AI research organizations. The team is based in San Francisco and is backed by Benchmark, General Catalyst, Peter Thiel, Adam D'Angelo, Larry Summers, and Jack Dorsey.
Role Overview
As a Humanities / arts / culture Evaluator, you will review AI-generated work and judge it using domain-specific quality standards. The role centers on careful analysis, subject expertise, and written feedback that helps improve model outputs.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess AI-produced content using field-specific evaluation criteria.
- Spot issues in accuracy, visual polish, and layout across documents, spreadsheets, and presentation decks.
- Write clear, organized feedback that can be used to refine AI responses.
- Use your background in Humanities / arts / culture to score and review outputs thoughtfully.
- Work on your own schedule and complete tasks asynchronously while meeting deadlines.
Required Qualifications
Candidates should bring at least 5 years of relevant professional experience in Humanities / arts / culture. Strong command of English at a native or professional level is required, along with advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, with special emphasis on Slides.
Preferred Background
An advanced degree such as a Master's or a higher qualification from a well-regarded institution is preferred.
