Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Human Resources Specialist who will be an integral member of our leadership team. This position goes beyond traditional HR duties and focuses on recruiting outstanding talent, fostering a positive employee experience, ensuring regulatory compliance, and enhancing HR operations to support our organizational growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead talent acquisition initiatives for caregiving and office personnel.
- Manage the Hireology recruitment platform and applicant tracking system.
- Source, interview, and assess prospective candidates effectively.
- Coordinate interviews and oversee New Hire Orientation programs.
- Establish and maintain community recruiting partnerships.
- Continuously develop and refine recruiting strategies and related metrics.
- Deliver an exceptional onboarding process to prepare employees for scheduling.
- Support and promote employee engagement and recognition efforts.
- Advise managers on employee relations and performance management matters.
- Maintain a positive and professional workplace culture.
- Administer employment records, HR documentation, and compliance with laws, CHAP standards, COMAR regulations, and company policies.
- Support benefits administration, payroll audits, investigations, and policy enforcement.
- Develop dashboards and track workforce metrics to analyze recruiting, retention, and turnover trends.
- Identify and recommend improvements for HR systems and organizational processes.

Required Qualifications
- Minimum of five years' experience in Human Resources.
- Demonstrated experience recruiting hourly employees.
- Proficient in employee relations and performance management.
- Strong knowledge of employment law and HR compliance requirements.
- Familiarity with Applicant Tracking Systems and HRIS platforms.
- Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication abilities.
- Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in home care, home health, healthcare, or senior living sectors.
- Professional certifications such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, or PHR.
- Prior use of platforms like Hireology, WellSky, or Infiniti HR.
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience.
