Job description

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Contingent Workforce Specialist to join our remote team on a contract basis covering a 6-month leave of absence from September to March. The specialist will play a critical role in coaching hiring managers and suppliers on procedures, managing vendor and applicant tracking systems, and delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining diligent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Oversee the requisition and management process for contingent workers via the VNDLY vendor management system.
  • Collaborate closely with hiring managers to thoroughly understand job requirements and convey these effectively to preferred suppliers.
  • Support hiring managers through the selection, onboarding, and ongoing management of contingent workers, including timesheet and performance discussions.
  • Maintain and regularly update standard operating procedures for contingent workers, suppliers, and hiring managers.
  • Manage supplier performance through quarterly scorecards, improvement plans, and optimization efforts.
  • Generate and analyze supplier scorecards and regular reports using the VNDLY system.
  • Handle VNDLY system ticket processing related to defects, enhancements, and escalations.
  • Resolve escalated issues involving contractors, managers, and vendors swiftly and effectively.
  • Stay informed on laws and regulations affecting the contingent workforce.
  • Contribute to the creation and deployment of marketing materials (print and digital) to promote brand awareness internally and externally.

Qualifications

  • At least two years of experience managing contingent workforce or related fields such as staffing agencies, corporate recruiting, or managed service providers.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal, written, and presentation abilities.
  • Ability to manage concurrent projects and priorities independently.
  • Experience with applicant tracking and vendor management systems; familiarity with VNDLY is preferred.
  • Knowledge of change and process management as well as negotiation skills.
  • Ability to coach and train hiring managers and suppliers on established procedures.
  • Data-driven approach with experience in reporting and metrics analysis to enhance processes.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, and PowerPoint.
  • Certified Contingent Workforce Professional (CCWP) credential is a plus.

Education & Experience

A Bachelor's degree with a minimum of two years of relevant experience, or an advanced degree without experience, or equivalent practical experience is typically required.
