Job Summary
This opportunity is for an experienced and proactive HR leader to oversee all human resources activities for a tobacco distribution operation in Saudi Arabia. The role is centered on building and executing HR plans that support business priorities, while also ensuring adherence to Saudi labor regulations and relevant industry rules.
The position calls for a practical HR professional who can support teams across sales, warehousing, logistics, and corporate functions, while helping create a culture of strong performance and accountability.
Key Responsibilities
Strategic HR Management
- Create and roll out HR plans that are closely tied to company objectives.
- Work alongside senior leadership on business growth and workforce planning.
- Share HR recommendations and insights that help lift productivity and employee involvement.
Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning
- Manage end-to-end hiring for all roles, including sales, warehouse, logistics, and support teams.
- Build sourcing approaches that help attract qualified candidates.
- Handle onboarding and induction for new hires.
Employee Relations
- Maintain a healthy workplace culture and strengthen employee engagement.
- Address employee concerns, disciplinary matters, grievances, and workplace conflicts.
- Guide managers on performance and workplace-related issues.
Performance Management
- Design and oversee the company’s performance management framework.
- Support managers with goal setting, performance evaluations, and development planning.
- Encourage ongoing feedback and a strong sense of ownership.
Learning & Development
- Identify skill gaps and training requirements across departments.
- Coordinate learning programs delivered internally or by outside providers.
- Support leadership development and succession planning efforts.
Compensation & Benefits
- Administer pay and benefits programs.
- Carry out salary comparisons and assist with yearly compensation reviews.
- Make sure payroll-related information is accurate and submitted within deadlines.
HR Operations & Compliance
- Ensure compliance with Saudi Labor Law, Ministry of Human Resources requirements, and internal policies.
- Keep employee records and HR documents properly maintained.
- Develop, revise, and implement HR policies and procedures.
- Track Saudization (Nitaqat) requirements and support localization efforts.
- Liaise with government platforms such as Qiwa, GOSI, Muqeem, and Mudad where relevant.
HR Reporting & Analytics
- Prepare HR reports and review workforce data.
- Monitor HR metrics such as turnover, hiring, absenteeism, employee engagement, and training effectiveness.
- Suggest improvement actions based on HR trends and analysis.
Qualifications
A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. A professional HR credential such as SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP, CIPD, or PHR is preferred.
The ideal candidate should bring 5–8 years of progressive HR experience, including 2–3 years in a leadership position. Experience in distribution, FMCG, retail, logistics, or the tobacco sector is strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of Saudi labor legislation and modern HR practices is essential. Hands-on experience in recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and organizational development is also expected.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HRIS platforms such as SAP SuccessFactors, Oracle, Zoho People, or similar systems is required. The role also calls for excellent communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving abilities. Fluency in English is required, and Arabic is highly preferred.
