About the Role
This position is for an HR Executive focused on payroll coordination and HR compliance for client accounts. The role sits within a large HR outsourcing environment that supports both established companies and growing businesses across India. It offers exposure to end-to-end HR operations, statutory processing, stakeholder coordination, and management reporting.
Responsibilities
- Gather attendance or timesheet inputs from clients on a daily, weekly, or monthly basis.
- Handle payroll processing with accuracy and ensure payouts are completed on schedule.
- Prepare and file statutory contributions and challans such as PF, ESI, PT, and LWF.
- Apply a working knowledge of labour legislation and compliance requirements in day-to-day operations.
- Make sure payroll practices follow local wage rules and accepted standards.
- Compute bonuses, allowances, and related payroll components.
- Track and report payroll-related expenditure.
- Verify that salary deductions and tax withholdings remain compliant with applicable regulations.
- Support internal and external audits by sharing records and required documentation.
- Compile and send periodic updates on payroll and HR compliance activity to management.
- Prepare MIS reports and basic analytics for HR operations.
- Coordinate effectively with multiple clients, stakeholders, and government departments as needed.
Requirements
- Prior experience in payroll processing or an HR Executive role with similar responsibilities is required.
- Hands-on experience of 1 to 2 years in HR operations, payroll administration, and compliance work.
- Sound understanding of payroll rules, HR compliance, and regulatory obligations.
- High attention to detail with strong accuracy in calculations and documentation.
- Comfort with payroll applications and HRIS platforms.
