Position Overview

The Human Resources Generalist plays a vital role in managing day-to-day HR operations such as recruitment, onboarding, training, employee relations, benefits management, compliance, and performance evaluations. This position ensures HR policies are effectively applied while nurturing a positive work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Organize new employee orientation and facilitate a seamless onboarding experience.
  • Act as a liaison for employee relations, addressing workplace concerns and issues.
  • Support in resolving conflicts and conducting disciplinary actions as necessary.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant federal, state, and local labor regulations.
  • Contribute to audits and reporting requirements involving compliance and safety standards.
  • Collaborate with payroll teams to guarantee accurate compensation and deductions.
  • Assist employees with their benefits enrollment and respond to related queries.
  • Manage leave processes, including leave of absence, paid time off, workers compensation, and other absence requests.
  • Participate in performance evaluation processes and support managers with guidance.
  • Coordinate training programs and opportunities for professional growth.

Required Knowledge and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar field is preferred.
  • Minimum of three years' experience in an HR generalist capacity or a related discipline.
  • Spanish language proficiency is an advantage.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Experience with HR software such as ADP or Dayforce, along with Microsoft Office.
  • Ability to manage sensitive information with confidentiality and discretion.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • High integrity, strong work ethic, curiosity, and motivation are valued qualities for success.

Physical Demands and Work Environment

  • Standing and walking during employee interactions, training sessions, or meetings.
  • Effective speaking and listening skills during meetings, interviews, and presentations.
  • Occasional lifting and carrying of office materials up to 20 pounds.
  • Extended periods of sitting while performing computer-based tasks.
