Role overview

Scouto AI is looking for a Human Resources Fresher to help with HR operations through data analysis, reporting, dashboard creation, and the use of modern AI tools. This opportunity is a strong fit for freshers and early-career candidates who want to work in Human Resources while also building skills in analytics, Excel/Google Sheets, Power BI, and AI-assisted productivity.

The role focuses on supporting the HR team by working with employee and recruitment data, spotting patterns, preparing reports, and using AI tools to improve speed, accuracy, and decision-making.

Core responsibilities

  • Collect, clean, organize, and study HR data across recruitment, employee records, attendance, onboarding, performance, attrition, and workforce planning.
  • Build and maintain dashboards, MIS reports, and trackers using Power BI, Excel, Google Sheets, or similar reporting tools.
  • Track recruitment metrics such as application volume, shortlisting, interviews, offers, joining status, turnaround time, source performance, and funnel drop-offs.
  • Review workforce information to identify trends in headcount, attrition, attendance, performance, engagement, skills, and manpower needs.
  • Use AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or similar platforms to support data cleaning, report drafting, formula creation, dashboard planning, insight generation, documentation, and process improvement.
  • Translate raw HR information into simple summaries and insights that support business and HR decision-making.
  • Assist with day-to-day HR operations, including onboarding tracking, employee documentation, HRMS updates, employee query tracking, and process documentation.
  • Look for repetitive reporting or operational tasks that can be simplified or automated through Excel, Google Sheets, Power BI, AI tools, or workflow tools.
  • Check reports and AI-generated outputs carefully to make sure they are accurate, consistent, and reliable before they are shared internally.
  • Handle candidate and employee information responsibly, keeping data confidential and using AI tools in an ethical and careful manner.

Skills and competencies

  • Genuine interest in HR analytics, people data, and data-backed decision-making.
  • Comfort with Excel or Google Sheets at a basic to intermediate level, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, filters, lookup functions, and data cleanup.
  • Exposure to Power BI, or readiness to learn and build dashboards in it.
  • Ability to read data, spot patterns, and explain findings in clear business terms.
  • Hands-on experience using AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, Copilot, or similar platforms for work tasks.
  • Ability to write effective prompts, review AI outputs, and refine responses through iteration.
  • Good communication skills with the ability to present findings clearly.
  • Strong attention to detail and ease in working with structured data.
  • Curiosity to learn new HR tech, analytics tools, and automation methods.

Preferred background

  • Knowledge of Power BI, Power Query, DAX, or dashboard building is a plus.
  • Basic awareness of SQL, Python, or data visualization concepts is helpful.
  • Exposure to HRMS, ATS, payroll systems, or employee management tools is preferred.
  • Any prior internship, academic project, or personal project involving data analysis, dashboards, or HR analytics will be valued.
  • Experience using AI tools to create reports, clean data, build formulas, summarize trends, or automate repetitive tasks is an advantage.
  • Understanding of recruitment, onboarding, attendance, performance management, or the employee lifecycle is preferred.

Eligibility criteria

  • This role is open to freshers.
  • B.E. or B.Tech is preferred.
  • MBA is preferred.
  • Applicants with internships, projects, certifications, or practical exposure in HR analytics, Power BI, Excel, or AI tools will be given preference.
