Role overview
This is a full-time HR and administration role based in Sharjah, United Arab Emirates, within the interiors and industrial fit-out industry. The position suits a hands-on professional who can manage recruitment, HR operations, and administrative coordination across both blue-collar and white-collar employee groups. Experience in construction, interiors, or a closely related field is preferred.
The role calls for strong organizational ability, practical knowledge of UAE labour regulations, and the ability to help maintain an efficient, positive workplace environment. Immediate joining is expected for the right candidate.
Key responsibilities
- Handle the full recruitment cycle for both blue-collar and white-collar positions, from sourcing to hiring.
- Coordinate with department heads to understand workforce needs and shape role requirements.
- Search for, screen, and interview applicants for technical, administrative, and leadership roles.
- Support smooth onboarding and help build a reliable candidate pipeline.
- Coordinate employee placement and ensure timely joining and mobilisation.
- Run onboarding, induction, and orientation sessions for new employees.
- Make sure contracts, HR records, and visa-related documentation are completed accurately and within timelines.
- Keep employee files well organized in both physical and digital formats.
- Arrange work permits, labour cards, medical checks, and other clearance requirements as per UAE rules.
- Maintain healthy employee relationships at all levels of the organization.
- Act as the main contact for employee questions and concerns, particularly for blue-collar staff.
- Help shape workplace policies and activities that encourage engagement and a positive culture.
- Plan employee welfare initiatives and engagement programs.
- Ensure company policies and UAE labour law requirements are followed consistently.
- Support appraisals, goal setting, feedback discussions, and performance reviews.
- Work with managers to align individual goals with business objectives.
- Track performance data and prepare evaluation summaries.
- Manage HR administration such as attendance, leave records, and payroll coordination.
- Oversee office facilities, supplies, and equipment as needed.
- Assist with budgeting, reporting, and HR planning activities.
- Contribute ideas and process improvements that enhance employee experience and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with UAE labour legislation, company policies, and legal requirements.
- Handle visa renewals, legal paperwork, and coordination with free-zone authorities where required.
- Prior experience with SAIF Zone procedures will be considered an advantage.
- Maintain confidentiality in all HR, employee, and legal matters.
- Use a valid UAE driving license to carry out site visits, office coordination, and operational tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a similar discipline.
- 5 to 7 years of experience in HR and administrative functions, ideally in interiors, fit-out, or construction.
- Practical experience hiring both blue-collar and white-collar employees.
- Solid knowledge of UAE labour law and visa processing procedures.
- Comfort using MS Office 365, Microsoft Teams, and ERP software.
- Strong communication, leadership, and multitasking abilities.
- Valid UAE driving license is required.
