Role overview
Trinity School, a co-educational K-12 school on Manhattan’s Upper West Side, is hiring an Assistant Director of Admissions for Grades K-4, with a start date of July 1, 2026. The selected candidate will support the Director in managing all parts of the lower school admissions process.
What you'll do
- Help lead admissions activities for Grades K-4 and support the Director throughout the process.
- Interview parents applying for kindergarten.
- Assist with interviews for applicants in Grades 1-4.
- Support child assessments and school tours when needed.
- Carry out child observations at preschools when required.
- Plan and help run weekend in-house play sessions.
- Oversee the applicant survey workflow, including sending surveys, tracking responses, analyzing results, and preparing reports.
- Help with statistical reporting for the admissions team.
- Participate as a member of the Admissions Committee.
- Recruit and train parent volunteers for seasonal event support.
- Support volunteer parent tour guides and work with the Director and parent coordinator on the program.
- Help organize, manage, and attend admissions events and meetings.
- Represent Trinity at school fairs and other in-person or virtual outreach events, including occasional weekend appearances.
- Update and maintain Lower School admissions content on the school website.
- Assist with clerical tasks and other day-to-day needs as required.
- Take on additional duties as assigned.
