Role Summary

This position works closely with local retail leadership to keep HR practices aligned with business goals, strengthen workplace culture, and support employee engagement. It is an important role in carrying out recruitment and broader HR initiatives, handling employee issues, and applying best practices across the region.

Responsibilities

  • Work with local hiring managers to assess staffing requirements and execute effective recruitment plans.
  • Support onboarding activities and retention efforts aimed at lowering employee turnover.
  • Track staff morale and recommend initiatives that improve engagement.
  • Guide teams through employee relations matters, including conflicts, disputes, and performance-related concerns.
  • Carry out investigations where needed while maintaining fairness and compliance.
  • Identify learning needs and coordinate with the HR team to build training programs.
  • Organize or facilitate training sessions for employees and managers.
  • Assist with performance management activities such as goal setting, feedback discussions, and improvement plans.
  • Contribute to succession planning and wider talent development efforts.
  • Gather and review HR data to spot trends and support informed decision-making.
  • Prepare recurring reports covering key HR metrics and regional trends.
  • Support organizational change initiatives and help teams transition smoothly.
  • Address employee questions and resistance during periods of change.
  • Ensure HR policies and procedures remain consistent and aligned with legal obligations.
  • Partner with local management to maintain a safe, respectful, and inclusive workplace.

Requirements

  • A bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline is preferred.
  • SHRM or HRCI certification will be considered an advantage.
  • At least 2 years of HR experience, ideally in retail and multi-location operations.
  • A genuine interest in people development, with the ability to inspire, coach, and support teams.
  • Good understanding of the retail or service environment and the ability to connect well with people.
  • Willingness to spend significant time in the field with store teams.
  • Strong knowledge of employment legislation and regulatory requirements.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
  • Comfort using HRIS platforms and Microsoft Office applications.

This position is based in Singapore and is a full-time, on-site role.
