Job description

Role Overview

Management Development Institute of Singapore is looking for a Human Resources Executive to support core HR operations, with a strong focus on recruitment, onboarding, and employee confirmation/appraisal activities.

Talent Acquisition

You will handle the full recruitment cycle to meet workforce needs across the organisation. This includes advertising vacancies across suitable channels, shortlisting applicants, coordinating interviews, and checking candidate documents. You will also work with recruiters and headhunters, prepare offer proposals for successful candidates, and complete appointment letters and onboarding paperwork. In addition, you will ensure recruitment processes follow applicable laws, internal policies, and proper record-keeping practices.

Onboarding

The role covers new hire administration, first-day induction, and coordination of the employee orientation programme.

Employee Confirmation and Appraisal

You will support the confirmation process for new joiners and manage the organisation’s performance appraisal exercise for employees.

Other Duties

As needed, you will prepare weekly or ad hoc manpower and HR reports, and take on additional tasks assigned by the Department Head.

Requirements

The role calls for a bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related discipline, along with at least 2 years of HR experience, especially in talent acquisition. Experience in a tertiary education setting is preferred. You should be able to communicate clearly in spoken and written English, interact effectively with staff at all levels, and work comfortably in a fast-moving, multitasking environment. A sound understanding of local employment laws is important, as is the ability to collaborate with others while also working independently when required. Strong analytical ability, attention to detail, and the discipline to complete work promptly are also expected.
