Job Overview and Responsibilities
- Make certain that all employee-related activities strictly follow Egypt's labor laws and internal company policies.
- Provide guidance to managers for consistent policy interpretation and application.
- Handle employee documentation processes including warnings, terminations, and disciplinary measures.
- Coordinate recruitment processes for construction-related roles locally, ensuring high-quality hires in alignment with project schedules.
- Manage workforce planning to guarantee appropriate staffing with necessary skills for current and upcoming projects.
- Develop and maintain a pool of qualified candidates for critical construction positions.
- Identify training requirements and facilitate ongoing learning initiatives, focusing on new construction techniques, safety standards, and industry norms.
- Act as the main escalation point for complex employee grievances and workplace conflicts, ensuring prompt, fair, and transparent resolutions.
- Meddle in disputes between employees and departments to promote understanding and cooperation.
- Lead investigations into complaints involving harassment, misconduct, and policy infringements; document findings and recommend management actions.
- Collaborate with management to develop effective performance management frameworks that align with project timelines and goals.
- Monitor and assess employee performance, offering coaching and feedback to boost productivity and teamwork on-site.
- Support performance improvement plans for underperformers and ensure performance evaluations coincide with project milestones.
- Verify employee compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting concerns to management as required.
- Supervise workforce planning to ensure projects are properly staffed and deadlines are met.
- Advise employees on labor regulations, social security, tax matters, and other legal requirements to maintain adherence to local codes and safety standards.
- Collect and report key HR metrics such as turnover rates, employee engagement, and recruitment progress specific to construction teams.
- Analyze workforce trends including skill shortages and attrition to enhance HR strategies and resource planning.
- Regularly update management with reports on HR aspects related to construction operations.
- Work in partnership with HR and leadership to foster employee engagement and strengthen workplace morale.
- Cultivate a company culture emphasizing trust, respect, and inclusiveness.
- Provide training and counsel to employees for effective handling of workplace relations and issues.
- Maintain detailed records of employee relations cases, generating trend reports for leadership insight.
- Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned by management to fulfill role objectives.
- Ensure full compliances with health, safety, quality, and environmental standards according to Integrated Management System norms to secure employee welfare and product/service integrity.
Requirements
- A minimum of five years’ relevant experience in a similar human resources role.
- A bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related discipline.
- Fluent in both Arabic and English, with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong leadership abilities combined with strategic human resource management expertise.
- Thorough understanding of labor laws, social security, and taxation regulations.
- Proficient knowledge in talent management and organizational development techniques.
- A demonstrated capacity to formulate HR policies, resolve employee relations matters, and foster a positive workplace culture.
- Superior communication and managerial capabilities.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, ever-changing environment.
