Job description

About the role

Our client is an international industrial services company that supports essential infrastructure, energy, manufacturing, technology, and other complex project settings. With a presence across several continents and a strong track record in delivering critical solutions, the organisation is now expanding in a strategically important region. The role sits within a sizeable regional business employing several hundred people across multiple countries.

This position is intended for an experienced people leader who will work directly with the Managing Director and senior leadership team. The business is focused on building a high-performance culture that combines commercial growth, operational discipline, and strong leadership capability.

What the role involves

This is a strategic HR business partner position rather than a conventional HR support role. The successful candidate will spend meaningful time with leaders and frontline teams to understand how the business operates, how customers are served, how value is created, and what may be limiting performance.

By staying close to the operation and building strong credibility across the business, you will shape people strategy, organisational structure, workforce plans, talent development, and culture in ways that support business results. You will serve as a trusted advisor to the Managing Director and senior leaders, helping ensure people decisions drive measurable commercial impact.

Key responsibilities

  • Work closely with the Managing Director and leadership team to help define and deliver the business strategy.
  • Build a strong understanding of the organisation’s commercial and operational realities through regular interaction with operational, frontline, and commercial teams.
  • Convert business insights into practical people actions that lift productivity, performance, engagement, and growth.
  • Own and support organisational design, workforce planning, and capability-building efforts that enable long-term expansion.
  • Coach and advise senior leaders so they can foster accountability, inclusion, and high performance across the organisation.
  • Use workforce and business data to spot risks, opportunities, and future capability needs.
  • Shape succession planning, leadership development, talent management, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Support major change and transformation programmes in a complex multi-country environment.
  • Act as the main bridge between the business and specialist people functions, ensuring HR solutions align with business priorities.

Candidate profile

The ideal professional will be commercially minded, naturally inquisitive, and comfortable working closely with operational and business leaders in fast-moving environments where growth and transformation are central.

You are likely to have developed your career in large, complex organisations and have a strong track record of advising senior executives, influencing stakeholders, and delivering people strategies that support commercial outcomes.

Required experience and strengths

  • A demonstrated history of serving as a trusted advisor to senior leaders and executives.
  • Experience gained in large, complex organisations operating across multiple countries.
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to connect people decisions with business performance.
  • A habit of being present in the business and understanding the day-to-day reality of operations.
  • The ability to influence senior stakeholders using insight, credibility, and constructive challenge.
  • Proven success in leading change, organisational development, and growth-related initiatives.
  • A solid understanding of operational and frontline working environments.
  • Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management capabilities.
  • Prior exposure to the Middle East region would be an advantage.
  • Arabic and English language skills would be beneficial.

Why consider this opportunity

This is a chance to have a real impact on a major regional business at an important stage in its growth journey. You will work alongside an ambitious Managing Director and leadership team, helping shape organisational capability, leadership effectiveness, and culture while supporting the delivery of ambitious commercial goals.
