- Provide leadership on advanced data analysis to uncover process-design issues and gaps in manufacturing tool performance.
- Drive the use of robust DOE methods and evidence-based decision-making.
- Oversee optimization of silicon process flows, design-rule updates, and the impact of layout integration, while accounting for both immediate and longer-term reliability.
- Ensure strong yield results, dependable electrical test performance, and product reliability across technology nodes.
- Lead the response to major yield losses, high-priority manufacturing problems, and customer-facing escalations.
- Work closely with Technology Development, Manufacturing, Yield Engineering, Quality, and Customer Engineering teams to support smooth product ramp-up.
- Act as the main executive contact with the mother fab during technology transfer activities.
- Build alignment across distributed global teams around KPIs and delivery commitments.
- Strengthen customer trust through technical depth and dependable execution.
- Recruit, mentor, and grow high-performing process integration teams.
- Create succession plans, capability-building approaches, and leadership development pathways.
- Encourage accountability, innovation, resilience, and continuous learning within the organization.
- Maintain performance discipline and strong operational standards across the department.
Qualifications and experience
- A bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, or a related STEM discipline; a master’s degree or PhD is preferred.
- At least 12–15+ years of experience in the semiconductor industry.
- Deep experience in silicon process integration.
- Demonstrated success leading technology transfers and new product introduction programs.
- Strong results in yield ramp-up and manufacturing scale-up.
- Solid exposure to reliability engineering and electrical test optimization.
- Background in leading multidisciplinary teams in a high-volume manufacturing setting.
- Excellent analytical thinking and problem-solving ability.
- Strong communication skills with executive-level presence.
- Ability to make decisions confidently in ambiguous, fast-paced, and high-pressure situations.
