Role overview

The HSE Officer will support the depot in Riyadh and cover work carried out at customer and project sites. The role is focused on building, maintaining, and executing the company’s Health, Safety and Environment management framework, ensuring safe work methods and safe behaviors across all levels of the business.

This position also advises operations teams, strengthens the safety culture, and helps the organization meet contractual obligations, business goals, and the requirements of the Integrated Management System.

Key responsibilities

  • Track HSE performance and drive improvements while staying aligned with local laws, regulations, and company standards.
  • Work closely with project managers, location managers, service managers, and service team leaders to ensure the HSE system is properly followed.
  • Lead detailed investigations into HSE incidents and coordinate with local leadership and the KSA QHSE Officer on corrective and immediate actions.
  • Coordinate with suppliers and service providers on HSE matters together with the KSA QHSE Officer.
  • Deliver local HSE inductions for employees and subcontractors.
  • Collaborate with relevant stakeholders to prepare risk assessments and method statements for the assigned scope of work.
  • Support the sales team and customer contacts with pre-qualification questionnaires and the documents needed to meet customer requirements.
  • Assist with audits and inspections when required in coordination with the KSA QHSE Officer.
  • Attend customer sites locally whenever needed.
  • Oversee vehicle trackers, arrange installation and removal of trackers and dashcams, and download tracking and dashcam data when requested.

Requirements

  • NEBOSH IGC and IOSH safety management qualifications are mandatory.
  • At least 3 years of experience ensuring HSE in electro-mechanical industrial work.
  • Practical knowledge of safety management in depots and field/customer locations.
  • Exposure to short-cycle delivery projects, such as major events, is preferred.
  • Experience in oil and gas is an advantage but not essential.
  • A valid local driving license is required.
  • Willingness to travel frequently across Saudi Arabia.
  • Strong spoken and written English is required.
  • Must be a Saudi Arabian citizen.
  • Should be based in or near Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Additional information

This role requires regular movement between the depot, customer sites, and project locations. It also involves coordination with multiple internal teams and external partners to maintain a strong safety culture and comply with operational and contractual requirements.
