Role overview
Algihaz Holding is seeking an experienced HSE Officer for airport-related operations in Dammam, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia. The role focuses on maintaining a strong safety culture, ensuring regulatory compliance, and supporting site teams with practical health, safety, and environmental controls.
Key responsibilities
- Support a work environment where health, safety, and environmental risks are actively controlled and reduced.
- Make sure all AGH and client HSE policies, procedures, and legal requirements are being followed.
- Plan and deliver HSE training sessions suited to the specific tasks being performed on site.
- Drive the use of HIRA, JSP, and LPP during execution of work activities.
- Keep HSE files, logs, and records current and aligned with company and client documentation standards.
- Carry out routine site inspections to confirm that safety practices remain in place and effective.
- Escalate safety concerns and incident-related matters to site leadership and direct supervisors on a regular basis.
- Take part in meetings with clients and management to review site safety performance and concerns.
- Monitor updates in health, safety, and welfare legislation and share relevant changes with project teams.
- Lead or support safety inspections, fire drills, risk assessments, and lone-working controls, while ensuring employees understand their safety duties.
- Contribute to monthly meetings by sharing observations on safety performance, trends, and improvement opportunities.
Requirements
- At least 8 years of experience in HSE-related work is required.
- Valid NEBOSH IGC and IOSH certifications are mandatory.
- Candidates must be registered as Safety Professionals through OSH (SO - Ministry of Human Resources Safety Cadres) or the Saudi Council of Engineers (SCE).
- Preference will be given to Saudi nationals.
