Role Overview
This full-time, on-site position based in Burnaby, BC, is for an HSE Coordinator responsible for managing health, safety, and environmental compliance. The role aims to maintain a secure working environment for all personnel through a variety of activities such as risk evaluation, policy execution, training delivery, site inspections, and ensuring conformity with industry rules and standards. The HSE Coordinator collaborates with the operations team to foster a continual safety culture and ongoing enhancements.
Qualifications and Skills
- Proficient understanding of Health & Safety procedures and Occupational Health standards
- Experience in Workplace Safety management and conducting safety training
- Familiarity with Environment Health and Safety (EHS) protocols and risk assessment methodologies
- Excellent communication and teamwork capabilities
- Knowledgeable about applicable safety and environmental laws and compliance requirements
- Possession of a certificate or diploma in Occupational Health and Safety or related discipline is preferred
- Holding safety certifications such as WHMIS, First Aid, or their equivalents is advantageous
- Strong analytical and organizational competencies
- Capability to manage multiple responsibilities effectively in a dynamic setting
