Overview
Wood is actively recruiting an experienced HSE Advisor to bolster our Projects division. Initially, the role entails working from an office location in Al Khobar, Riyadh, or Jubail, followed by deployment to a site in Saudi Arabia on an 8 days on, 2 days off rotation.
Key Responsibilities
- Formulate annual Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) enhancement plans aligned with company and client strategic goals.
- Oversee compliance with project HSE interface requirements and contribute to the creation of future plans.
- Ensure communication of HSE interface obligations to all relevant personnel involved in the project.
- Support the investigation of HSE incidents and fulfill necessary reporting protocols.
- Assist in the coordination of both internal and external HSE audits.
- Share critical insights from incidents and accidents to all stakeholders as part of a structured lessons learned process.
- Highlight and report deficiencies found within project and corporate functions, maintaining records within the company's action tracking and incident reporting tools.
- Ensure readiness of emergency response arrangements and their communication to all personnel, aligning with client requirements as applicable.
- Liaise and build constructive relationships with Client HSE Representatives and site Safety Representatives.
- Manage coordination and participation in project HSE meetings, workshops, and forums.
- Establish and maintain systems to monitor HSE performance effectively.
- Develop and execute a site HSE visitation schedule for self, project/contract management, and Corporate HSE management.
- Encourage and facilitate workforce engagement in all HSE initiatives and programmes.
Qualifications and Experience
- A minimum of 2 to 5 years experience in a technical or HSE-related role within any industry.
- Good understanding of relevant industry regulations.
- Strong organizational and planning capabilities.
- Proficient user of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
