Role Overview
This part-time remote position is exclusively available to candidates located in Australia, providing HR support within the Green Hydrogen (GH2) Portfolio – South Africa JET IP. The HR Support Officer will be responsible for assistance with daily human resources administrative tasks, including maintaining accurate HR records, organizing documentation, and updating databases according to established HR policies and procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate recruitment activities and support onboarding processes by managing necessary documentation and drafting or revising job descriptions.
- Monitor employee relations matters by tracking and addressing queries while ensuring timely and professional communication with relevant stakeholders.
- Arrange HR-focused meetings and prepare fundamental reports to assist the HR team.
- Provide general administrative assistance, collaborating virtually with teams based in South Africa and other international locations.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Basic knowledge and skills in Human Resources and HR Management to support routine HR functions.
- Understanding of HR policies and compliance protocols to ensure consistency in documentation and procedures.
- Interest or experience in Employee Relations, with emphasis on confidentiality and fostering an inclusive workplace.
- Aptitude for creating clear, accurate, and gender-neutral job descriptions and role profiles.
- Excellent organizational abilities, time management, and attention to detail, especially for record keeping.
- Competency in standard office applications such as word processing, spreadsheets, and online collaboration platforms, along with comfort working across different time zones.
- Proficient communication skills in English, both written and verbal, adopting a professional and service-minded attitude.
- Entry-level experience or academic background in HR, Business Administration, Industrial or Organizational Psychology, or related disciplines is advantageous.
