Role Overview
The HR Recruiting Specialist will collaborate closely with the Senior Recruiter/Sourcing Team and hiring managers to manage the full recruitment cycle including resume screening, interview scheduling, offer generation, and facilitating candidate progression. Additionally, the role provides essential HR support including onboarding processes, background verification, and HRIS administration within a dynamic mechanical construction setting.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead recruitment efforts for non-union professional roles from start to finish.
- Review applications, conduct preliminary candidate evaluations, and compare qualifications with job criteria.
- Arrange interviews with candidates and hiring teams.
- Maintain steady communication with recruiters, managers, and candidates during hiring stages.
- Prepare and extend employment offers in partnership with HR leadership.
- Administer candidate data using the Greenhouse Applicant Tracking System.
- Manage postings across recruitment channels and participate in candidate outreach.
- Monitor recruitment analytics and provide routine status reports.
- Process new employee data accurately within Microsoft Dynamics 365 HRIS and conduct pre-employment checks including background and drug screenings.
- Coordinate new hire paperwork, onboarding documentation, and assist with I-9 employment eligibility compliance.
- Support orientation and serve as an onboarding resource for new employees.
- Maintain personnel records, update employee status changes, and ensure HR data integrity.
- Address HR inquiries from employees and management, assist with compliance and audits, and support HR projects and employee engagement programs.
Qualifications
- Prior experience recruiting within construction, engineering, manufacturing, skilled trades, or project-driven industries.
- Familiarity with union and non-union workforce recruitment.
- Proficient with Microsoft Dynamics 365 HRIS, ADP, and Greenhouse ATS.
- SHRM-CP, PHR, or relevant HR certification preferred.
- Strong interviewing skills and ability to evaluate candidate suitability.
- Excellent relationship-building ability with candidates, hiring managers, and colleagues.
- Detail-oriented and capable of managing confidential information professionally.
- Customer service focus and able to work independently while collaborating with the HR team.
