Job description
About the Role
Amazon's People eXperience and Technology (PXT) team strives to be Earth's Best Employer by fostering a secure, inclusive, and progressive work culture globally. The HR Partner position within the AMZL PXT division offers a valuable platform to advance in human resources, focusing on enhancing employee experience, engagement, leadership capabilities, and operational excellence in HR.
As an HR Partner, you will play a vital role in supporting PXT operations through consistent execution of standard work, nurturing partnerships, and resolving issues promptly. Your active presence in site operations will help cultivate team culture, support employee engagement, and coach leadership in PXT best practices. You will be instrumental in shaping positive employee interactions and will develop skills to manage complex challenges and influence stakeholders without direct authority. Success hinges on relationship-building, sound judgment, and a customer-first mindset. You will also leverage data insights and HR technologies to continually improve employee experiences and build foundational HR skills to boost your career growth.
Key Responsibilities
- Facilitate a supportive employee environment by implementing essential programs, enforcing workplace standards, and collaborating with PXT and Operations to ensure employees feel appreciated and engaged.
- Consistently perform standard HR work with quality and timeliness, adhering to service level agreements and maintaining accurate records of HR interactions and processes.
- Deliver frontline employee support by addressing inquiries, resolving concerns appropriately, or escalating them as needed while handling sensitive data confidentially.
- Coordinate and monitor employee feedback initiatives, such as roundtables, floor walks, and engagement activities; assist in tracking issues and collaborating with senior team members to implement solutions.
- Coach frontline supervisors in behaviors that impact employee engagement and retention, reinforcing expectations and guiding them in utilizing tools that enhance communication, recognition, and performance discussions effectively.
- Support site-wide engagement and culture initiatives, including logistics coordination, feedback collection, and assessing initiative effectiveness.
- Assist in tracking relevant PXT metrics (e.g., turnover and attendance trends, hiring statistics, employee sentiment) and prepare reports for site reviews or team discussions.
- Promote self-service tools to help resolve common employee and manager questions and identify recurring issues to recommend improvements in tool usage and adoption.
A Typical Day
Your daily routine will balance completing standard HR tasks with providing immediate employee support. Maintaining a consistent presence on the operations floor, you will engage with hourly employees and partner with leadership to respond to concerns and facilitate engagement efforts. Under senior guidance, you will ensure quality in core HR process delivery, track data and trends with HR tools, support employee feedback mechanisms, and help coach others. Handling complications with discretion and judgement will be essential as you grow your expertise.
