About CacheFly
CacheFly delivers high-speed, secure content delivery services worldwide. The company operates in a remote-first environment and places a strong emphasis on ownership, accountability, and moving quickly as it scales. It is hiring an experienced HR Manager to oversee the employee journey end to end, including hiring, onboarding, performance management, and benefits for a distributed global team.
Role Overview
This is a practical, high-ownership position that spans the full employee lifecycle. A large part of the work will center on technical hiring, especially for engineers, infrastructure professionals, and other roles critical to CacheFly’s product and growth. In addition to recruiting, the role includes owning the performance management approach built on EOS, supporting leaders in setting clear expectations, and helping managers lead with consistency and accountability.
Reporting directly to the CFO, you will collaborate with leadership to ensure people practices remain clear, fair, and aligned with business goals. The position is well suited to an HR generalist who enjoys building structure, taking initiative, and working independently as the only dedicated HR person.
Key Responsibilities
The role covers talent acquisition, employee relations, HR operations, and training/onboarding in a fully distributed environment.
Global Talent Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end hiring for all roles, with the greatest emphasis on technical positions such as engineering and infrastructure.
- Work with hiring managers to define role expectations, success measures, compensation, and final hiring choices.
- Oversee sourcing, interview coordination, offer management, background verification, and onboarding.
- Support hiring practices that remain compliant across countries and worker classifications.
- Keep recruitment workflows efficient and candidate-friendly while continuously improving the quality of talent hired.
HR Business Partner & Employee Relations
- Act as the main HR contact for employees, managers, and leadership.
- Coach managers on goal-setting, feedback delivery, performance management, and handling employee concerns.
- Support reviews, performance-related actions, and exits throughout the employee lifecycle.
- Address workplace concerns and conflicts with good judgment and confidentiality.
- Track culture, engagement, and morale through regular feedback and proactive check-ins.
HR Operations
- Manage benefits administration, including enrollments, renewals, and vendor coordination.
- Handle payroll inputs, HR systems, employee records, and reporting with Finance support.
- Protect the accuracy, confidentiality, and compliance of HR data.
- Support compensation administration and market benchmarking.
- Update HR policies and documentation so they reflect current operating practices.
Training, Onboarding & Remote Culture
- Design and run onboarding programs that clearly explain expectations, responsibilities, and how work is executed at CacheFly.
- Partner with managers to identify skill gaps and training needs.
- Coordinate internal or external learning initiatives to strengthen manager performance and employee development.
- Maintain mandatory compliance training and internal HR resources.
- Encourage strong remote-working habits and team connection in a distributed-first workplace.
Requirements
- At least 5 years of direct, hands-on HR experience in a generalist or HR manager capacity.
- A strong history of recruiting technical talent, especially for engineering, infrastructure, or similar roles; experience in tech is helpful but not mandatory.
- Prior experience working independently as a one-person HR function or in a lean HR team.
- Broad experience in global recruitment, employee relations, and HR operations.
- Working knowledge of U.S. employment law; international or contractor-related experience is preferred.
- Highly structured, practical, and dependable when handling confidential information.
- Comfort working closely with Finance and senior leaders.
- Ability to use modern HR platforms and systems effectively.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation with a 15% target annual bonus.
- Comprehensive health coverage including medical, dental, vision, LTD/STD, and life insurance, with most costs covered by the company.
- 401(k) plan with a 4% Safe Harbor match that is fully vested from the first day.
- Unlimited paid time off, all U.S. federal holidays, and flexible working hours.
- Remote-first setup with a substantial work-from-home stipend plus monthly internet and phone support.
Additional Information
