Job description

Overview

We are seeking an experienced HR Manager to join a commodities trading firm based in Singapore. This role involves leading full-spectrum human resource functions to support business objectives across multiple jurisdictions, including Singapore, Switzerland, and Indonesia.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end recruitment processes, manage agency relationships, enhance employer branding, and ensure smooth onboarding and assimilation of new hires.
  • Act as HR Business Partner to the CEO, aligning HR strategies with company goals, providing advice on organizational design, workforce planning, performance management, coaching, and talent development.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with employment laws and labor regulations across all operating countries to mitigate risks and maintain up-to-date HR policies.
  • Manage compensation and benefits including payroll coordination, benefits administration, salary benchmarking, and development of competitive compensation plans aligned to strategic objectives.
  • Oversee HR operations covering employee lifecycle management, maintenance of accurate HR records, preparation of employment documentation, and continuous enhancement of HR processes.
  • Coordinate immigration processes such as Employment Pass and Work Pass applications where required.
  • Foster positive employee relations, manage grievances and disciplinary matters, conduct workplace investigations, and ensure adherence to local employment laws such as the Singapore Employment Act.
  • Collaborate with legal teams and external authorities as needed and support internal communications and employee engagement initiatives.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 7 to 10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years as an HR Manager or Senior HR Business Partner.
  • Proven experience across multiple HR disciplines including recruitment, HR business partnering, operations, and compensation & benefits.
  • Prior exposure to multinational corporations is highly desirable.
  • Strong understanding of Singapore employment legislation and HR practices.
  • Experience supporting regional business operations is an advantage.
