The MIS/IT Department, ASCENS, supports 250 AGL subsidiaries from hubs in Paris, Abidjan, Johannesburg, and Kigali, managing and evolving the group's digital tools. ASCENS has launched the Innovation Center "YIRI" in Abidjan to drive digital transformation through collaboration with internal teams, technology providers, universities, and startups. The Kigali Shared Service Center (KSSC) including ASCENS Kigali is currently growing strategically to deliver valuable digital services throughout the AGL network, focusing on standardized service delivery and operational excellence.

Role Purpose

Join ASCENS Kigali to be part of an international environment shaping the future of logistics in Africa.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain operational functionality of current solutions.
  • Implement new solutions or add new features to existing ones.
  • Lead and manage a team consisting of developers, administrators, and support personnel (both internal and external).
  • Guide strategic decisions aligning with team objectives.
  • Ensure adherence to IT department processes and standards.
  • Support users by resolving operational issues promptly.
  • Gather, analyze, and prioritize business requirements from clients.
  • Estimate and assess client requests accurately.
  • Collaborate with requesters to create functional specifications.
  • Communicate requirements effectively to the development team and manage topic prioritization.

Qualifications and Experience

  • Master's degree (Bac+4/5) in IT or an equivalent discipline.
  • At least 2 years of direct experience in the IT field.
  • A total of 4 years of overall professional work experience.

Technical Expertise

  • Strong familiarity with business applications such as TPRM, HR, Compliance, and QHSE.
  • Proficiency in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
  • Experience with Windows Server 2008 onwards.
  • Knowledge of SQL Server 2008 and later versions, IIS 7, and SSIS.
  • Handling of integration tools including API and sFTP.
  • Understanding of Single Sign-On (SSO) technologies like OpenID Connect and SAML.
