HR Data Governance and Controls Specialist

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled HR Data Governance and Controls Specialist to join our team in Jacksonville, FL. This full-time onsite role focuses on supporting the design, implementation, and ongoing enhancement of the HR Data Governance Framework to ensure data accuracy and compliance across the enterprise.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in establishing and continuously improving HR data governance structures, including policies, standards, and procedures.
• Develop and maintain operating guidelines that support effective HR data management practices.
• Create and monitor data quality controls to guarantee HR data completeness, accuracy, consistency, and integrity.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with HR, Compliance, Risk, Legal, and Technology teams to define data governance requirements and data ownership.
• Support risk assessments, control testing, and corrective actions under the data control framework.
• Ensure compliance with relevant privacy laws and internal governance standards affecting HR data.
• Perform data analysis and generate reports that aid governance, compliance, and business decision-making.
• Design and maintain dashboards reflecting critical data governance metrics and control effectiveness.

Required Skills and Experience

• Proficiency with HR systems, specifically ADP.
• Strong understanding of data privacy regulations such as GDPR and CCPA.
• Experience supporting enterprise-level data governance or management projects.
• Relevant certifications in Data Governance, Data Management, Risk Management, or Compliance are advantageous.
• Familiarity with HR Operations in insurance and retirement domains.
• Experience or knowledge in Banking and Financial Technology is a plus.
